About Lutheran Church of Christ the King
|
Welcome to Lutheran Church of Christ the King, a diverse group of sinners committed to reaching out and serving with the good news of Jesus Christ.
We are an active, serving and welcoming church. We would love it if you came and joined us! If we can be of any help to you or answer any questions, please let us know! We gather in person and online every Sunday at 9:45 am to worship our God and to be fed with God’s Word in preaching, song, prayer and the bread and wine. We also host a Sunday Afternoon Worship twice a month (1st & 3rd Sundays at 1pm) at King's Manor Assisted Living. |
Who We Are
Welcome to Lutheran Church of Christ the King, a diverse group of sinners committed to reaching out and serving with the good news of Jesus Christ. Jesus welcomed tax-collectors, sex workers and other sinners, and so we extend welcome and the kingdom of God to all. If a sinner like me is welcome, then your chances are good!
As siblings in Christ, we journey as family in this walk of faith. We live out our faith in partnership with our community through ministry groups and community partners.
Christ the King is an accessible building with no stairs and handicap accessible bathrooms. We are a RIC (Reconciling in Christ) Community that extends a specific welcome to our LGBTQ family.

- Jesus Christ is the Word of God incarnate, through whom everything was made and through whose life, death, and resurrection God fashions a new creation.
- The proclamation of God’s message to us as both Law and Gospel is the Word of God, revealing judgment and mercy through word and deed, beginning with the Word in creation, continuing in the history of Israel, and centering in all its fullness in the person and work of Jesus Christ.
- The canonical Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the written Word of God. Inspired by God’s Spirit speaking through their authors, they record and announce God’s a revelation centering in Jesus Christ. Through them God’s Spirit speaks to us to create and sustain Christian faith and fellowship for service in the world.
